Blue Note Records: 1995

This review first appeared in the December 1, 1995 issue of the North County Blade-Citizen (now North County Times).

Not only is this one of the best Christmas collections out there, but it's also a benefit sale for the Special Olympics. It's pretty hard to miss when your money not only gets you Dianne Reeves and Lou Rawls dueting on the definitive version of "Baby, It's Cold Outside," Anita Baker singing "The Christmas Song" and Cassandra Wilson laying down "The Little Drummer Boy," but the proceeds also help the mentally and physically challenged to participate in the Special Olympics.
