A traditional country Christmas

Sugar Plums
Sugar Plums
By various artists

Sugar Hill Records: 1991

This review first appeared in the December 11, 1992 issue of the North County Blade-Citizen (now North County Times).

First released last year (1991) only weeks before Christmas, "Sugar Plums" is one of the better country Christmas albums available.

For one thing, "Sugar Plums" is put out by the traditionally oriented Sugar Hill Records, and features artists such as Doc Watson, Dan Crary, Ranch Romance, Jerry Douglas and The Seldom Scene.

The music is a combination of traditional tunes and originals, and all are presented in a vein of bluegrass and traditional country. You can't go wrong with this one.
